David Ruffin – The Temptations’ Classic Lead Voice

David Ruffin (January 18, 1941 – June 1, 1991) was an American singer best known for his era as a lead vocalist of The Temptations. With a gritty, pleading tone and a powerful delivery, Ruffin helped define the group’s signature sound on some of Motown’s most enduring records.
