EEO-1 Component 1 Report (Employer Information Report / Standard Form 100)

Mandatory annual workforce demographic report filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Collects aggregated counts by:

  • Race/ethnicity (7 categories)
  • Sex (Male / Female)
  • 10 standardized EEO-1 job categories

Primary purposes:

  • Monitor Title VII compliance (Civil Rights Act of 1964)

Data remains confidential — never released with individual identifiers.

  • Private employers with 100 or more employees (full-time + part-time combined)
  • Federal contractors / first-tier subcontractors with 50+ employees and contracts meeting Executive Order 11246 dollar thresholds
  • Members of a controlled group / affiliated entity structure that collectively meets the threshold
Employers below these thresholds are generally exempt from filing.

One pay-period snapshot (employer chooses) usually taken in Q4 (October–December).
