sudo emerge --sync

Hyperland requires a few packages to be installed. You can do this with the following command:

   sudo emerge -av x11-wm/hyperland xorg-server xorg-drivers

If you are using a display manager like LightDM or SDDM, ensure it is installed and configured to use Hyperland as the default session.

For example, if you are using LightDM:

   sudo emerge -av x11-misc/lightdm
   sudo ln -s /etc/X11/Sessions/hyperland /usr/share/xsessions/

Ensure that your user is part of the necessary groups for accessing the X server and other required permissions.

   sudo usermod -aG video,audio,pulse,plugdev $USER

You can start Hyperland manually by running:

   hyperland

Alternatively, if you configured your display manager to use it as the default session, simply log out and select Hyperland from the login screen.

If you encounter any issues, check the logs for errors. You can find them in `/var/log/Xorg.0.log` or by using `journalctl -xe`.

That's it! You should now have Hyperland Desktop installed and running on your Gentoo system.
