sudo emerge --sync

   sudo emerge -av www-client/opera

If you want to set Opera as your default web browser, you can add it to your desktop environment's settings.

You can start Opera from the terminal by typing:

   opera

That's it! Opera should now be installed and ready to use on your Gentoo system.
