Jesse Owens
Born in 1913 in Alabama, Owens rose from poverty to become one of the greatest athletes in history.
Won four gold medals: 100m, 200m, Long Jump, 4x100 relay.
Awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1976. A symbol of dignity and excellence.
